1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using IntervalAI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
IntervalAI is a mobile application that converts natural-language workout descriptions into structured interval workouts compatible with Apple Watch via WorkoutKit. The App uses artificial intelligence to parse your text input and generate workout definitions.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
4. Account and Device Authentication
The App uses device-based authentication rather than traditional accounts. A unique device identifier is generated and stored securely in your device's keychain to authenticate API requests. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device.
5. Subscription and Payment
5.1 Subscription Plans
IntervalAI offers subscription-based access to premium features. Subscription options and pricing are displayed within the App.
5.2 Billing
All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms of service for in-app purchases. We do not have access to your payment information.
5.3 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
5.4 Refunds
Refund requests must be directed to Apple through their standard refund process, as all payments are processed by the App Store.
6. Usage Limits
To ensure fair access for all users, the App enforces usage limits on workout parsing requests. These limits vary by subscription tier. Exceeding these limits may temporarily restrict your access to parsing features until the limit resets.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems or scripts to access the App
- Submit content that is harmful, offensive, or violates third-party rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or servers
8. AI-Generated Content
8.1 Nature of Service
The App uses third-party AI providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) to process your workout descriptions. The AI interprets your input and generates workout structures.
8.2 Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated workout interpretations may not always perfectly match your intent. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying parsed workouts before use.
8.3 No Medical Advice
The App does not provide medical or fitness advice. Workouts generated by the App are based solely on your text input. Consult a healthcare professional before beginning any exercise program.
9. Health and Safety
9.1 Assumption of Risk
Physical exercise carries inherent risks. By using workouts created through the App, you acknowledge and accept these risks. You are solely responsible for determining whether any workout is appropriate for your fitness level and health condition.
9.2 HealthKit Integration
If you grant permission, the App integrates with Apple HealthKit to share workout definitions with Apple Watch and save completed workout data. This integration is optional and can be disabled at any time in your device settings.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 App Ownership
IntervalAI, including its design, features, and content, is owned by IntervalAI and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
10.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the workout descriptions you submit. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your content through our AI services for the purpose of providing the parsing service.
11. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to our Privacy Policy.
12. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services including:
- AI providers for workout parsing
- RevenueCat for subscription management
- Apple HealthKit for workout integration
- Apple's App Store for payments
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
13. Disclaimers
13.1 "As Is" Basis
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
13.2 Service Availability
We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
13.3 AI Limitations
We do not warrant that AI-generated workout interpretations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IntervalAI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or damages arising from your use of the App or reliance on AI-generated content.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IntervalAI from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
17. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.
18. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
19. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the United States of America, except where prohibited by law.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and IntervalAI regarding your use of the App.
